Riley's Circle
Last-Minute Childcare Built Around Your Family
Your child woke up sick and you have a meeting you can't miss. You know that feeling in your stomach when plan A falls through, and the math you start doing about how much a missed day actually costs you. Riley's Circle gives you a small group of trusted caregivers, curated just for your family, so when that moment hits, you're not burning a PTO day or scrambling through your contacts. You already know who to call.

It's Not Just a Bad Morning. It's a Day of Your Life.
Think about the last time your child couldn't go to daycare. Maybe you called out. Maybe you used a vacation day you were saving for something else. Maybe you brought your laptop into another room and hoped nobody noticed the background noise on your calls. None of that is really a solution, it's just what happens when there's no other option. Here's what a circle changes: instead of losing a PTO day, you schedule a caregiver your family already knows and comes to your home. You go to work. Your child is cared for by someone familiar, not a stranger and not an empty seat at a meeting. That's the whole trade you're making when you build a circle, before you ever need it.

How It Works
Build your circle — We personally match 1-2 primary caregivers and a few trusted backups to your family, based on your child's needs.
Meet everyone in advance — A short intro before any emergency, so even a backup caregiver is a familiar face, not a stranger.
One call when plan A falls through — No app to search, no list to browse. You call, and we work through your circle for you.
One confirmation, and someone's on the way — You get a single message: who's coming, and exactly when.
Where Circle Care Fits
We're Not Full-Time Care. We're the Care That Fills the Gap.Daycare centers, preschools, and family day homes are where your child spends most of their week, and that's exactly how it should be. Riley's Circle isn't trying to be that. We're built for the moments in between: the sick day, the closure, the callout, the last-minute gap that regular full-time care isn't set up to cover.
That's also why we work alongside local childcare providers, not around them. When a child needs to stay home sick, a caregiver from their circle can step in, so a parent doesn't lose a workday and a care center doesn't have to manage a sick child alongside a room full of healthy ones. Everybody wins: parents keep their PTO, children recover comfortably at home, and care centers stay healthy places for the kids who are there.
The In-Between Days
Too Sick for School. Not Sick Enough to Worry. There's a specific kind of morning every parent knows. Your child isn't running a fever. They're not throwing up. But they woke up with a lingering cough, or they're just not themselves, and daycare's policy says stay home today. They don't need a doctor. They need rest, a familiar face, and someone to watch them while you go to work. That in-between space is exactly where Riley's Circle lives.

FAQs
Can a caregiver watch my child if they're sick?
It depends on what "sick" means. If your child has a fever, is vomiting, has had diarrhea in the past 24 hours, or has an undiagnosed rash, we'll always point you to a doctor first, that's not a fit for at-home care. But most of the days daycare sends a child home aren't like that. A lingering cough, low energy, or just not feeling quite right, that in-between space is exactly what Riley's Circle is built for.
What's your vetting process, exactly?
Every caregiver goes through a background check, an in-person interview, verified references, and a paid trial shift before they ever join a family's circle. We don't skip steps here, it's the part of the business that matters most.
What happens if no one in my circle is available?
We'll tell you right away rather than leave you waiting. Your circle includes backup caregivers beyond your primary match specifically so this is rare, but if it happens, honesty comes first.
How far in advance do I need to book?
Riley's Circle is built for last-minute moments, so you can book with very little notice. That said, booking your Meet-and-Match Hour ahead of time means your circle is already in place before you ever need it.
Is my family's information kept private?
Yes. Details about your child, your home, and your routines are shared only with the caregivers matched to your circle, never posted publicly or shared outside your match.
What areas do you serve?
Harrisonburg and Rockingham County, Virginia.
